Since this issue is nowhere to be found, I tend to believe that it's just a simple error caused by some corrupted files, registry entries, etc.
I recommend downloading a new version of the software to install it over your current one. There have been cases where a simple installation fixed a lot of problems, and this could apply to the Multiply Datalink.
I found out that the latest version is 3.0 and available for downloading from the following page.

There is no way around this if you don't have a USB port attached to PC, but it's unusual for a PC (normal desktop or Mac) to lack a USB port. You might need to buy an extension card that can add USB ports to your PC. Kindly, look on Amazon, Newegg or Ebay for such add-on cards that can be installed in your PC and provide USB functionality. The USB connection is the only way to send the data. I've also searched for other ways, but there aren't any available for this procedure.
